The Man Who Built His House On The Sand Coloring Page, Matthew 7:26

I am delighted to share with you the printable coloring page I made for the kids in church.  It is from the words of Jesus in the Sermon on the mount that he tells about the man who did not pay attention to God's Word and how that man's life was ruined like a house in a flood.  

Matthew 7:26-27 says,

"But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on the sand, the rain came down the streams rose and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."  Matthew 7:26,27.

THIS IS MY ORIGINAL ART

This picture took a long time to create. The picture shows a man floating in a bathtub in front of the door frame of a house, and behind the door frame, the top of the house is floating in the water. The fireplace is in the background. There are many stormy clouds in the sky. 

I drew the letters by tracing them over graft paper. I drew the picture two or three times before I got it right, and then I had to trace it onto the picture using an artist's lightbox and sharpie pen. I wanted to get the whole passage on the page. I think the picture has a little humor and still can be used as part of a teaching lesson for the kids.
