This free printable coloring page is fun to color in. This passage is a classic of comfort and hope.
Kids and adults both like to color the verse. It is one of the memory verses for Awana clubs. Coloring the letters in the art words helps you to remember the verse. When it is done, the page is a reminder of God's Word.
These verses have been an inspiration to countless people of faith. They are often memorized and used in songs and art like the print by Joyfultaylor. The verses are not some profound theological doctrine but a simple encouragement to joyful thanksgiving.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says,
"Rejoice at all times. Pray without ceasing. Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.

MY ART
I worked on this picture for days. It was challenging to design and then to get all my ideas to work together. I traced a few things from other images, scanned them to the printer, and cut and paste them together. The words were printed and then traced and changed to give them style.

Sometimes it takes me hours to draw these coloring pages, but I am glad to draw them because I love God's word, and I hope they are a blessing to you.

COLOR THE PICTURE
I like to color the background a light blues with the sun rays in a pale yellow. I suggest coloring the letters a medium-dark hue. There are a lot of opportunities to be creative with the flowers at the bottom and side. Try just a hint of rose or salmon in the clouds to give it a sunset look. I like to use a hot color for the frame bars around the picture, like red or orange.
