Groundhog Day Coloring Page

A free printable coloring page of Groundhog day.

Parents and teachers may use this to give to class or do at home. It is perfect for extra time activity or as a reward. It could serve as part of a lesson on folklore or seasons.

This is one of my favorites. The sun is coming up and covering its mouth as it yawns. Mr. Groundhog is still waking up and coming out of his burrow. After he has his hot cocoa, he will look for his shadow. The mailbox is stuffed full of the winter's mail.

If you have problems printing, see the "HOW TO PRINT" tab above or try one of the updated links below that should print better.

Groundhog Day. Kid's Print and Color page

These coloring pages are free to print, but your gift will help keep this blog going.

Thank you for your kind and generous support!

Some printers work better in PDF format. To go to a PDF file, CLICK HERE. (You may have to download a temporary file by clicking the down-pointing arrow in the toolbar. Next, open the file by clicking on the box at the bottom of your screen or your downloads folder, and then print by clicking on the printer icon or as you would normally.)

You can color the sun yellow and maybe a little orange at the edges.

Make the sky very light blue.

The trees, bushes, and grass can be different greens. Mr. Groundhog can be brown or grey.

His shadow can be purple or lavender. The door of his home can be browns and reds. The bars across the door can be blue and black.

The ground can be browns and reds mixed together. I hope you enjoy coloring this as much as I enjoyed drawing it.
