BIBLE TIME FUN WEEKLY Issue 106, Summery of Contents.

I am very pleased and feel blessed to have created BIBLE TIME FUN WEEKLY issue 106 for you.

CREATING ISSUE 106

In some ways, this issue had a slow start because it took days to select the scriptures for the activities. Normally I work from lists of popular and important verses and I try to be aware during my Bible reading for verses. This time, nothing seemed right. If a verse did seem right I was reluctant because it was used recently or the verse didn't meet the requirements of the puzzle. If a verse seems right then I look at all the translations for one that is clear and without hard words for the kids. I started with what I had and kept looking for more verses, It wasn't until the third day that the inventory of scriptures was complete.

DESIGN OF BIBLE TIME FUN WEEKLY

This activity magazine is designed to avoid themes and the common. I want it to reflect the adventure of discovery of God’s Word, so it is intentionally like a “grab bag” of verses. I hope that way anybody can find something meaningful to them in it, but even a grab bag takes a lot of planning.

Here is a sample of issue 106. To download all 4 pages use the link below for the PDF.

Each page has one or more, "let's talk about it,"  questions to prompt discussions.

I was surprised that God led me to the Revelation 22:16b scripture. It is a great and unappreciated "I am" statement of Jesus, “I am the root and the offspring of David, the Bright morning star.” It reads like an exclamation mark at the end of the Bible. Not many people would choose this as a children’s Bible verse (have you ever taught or heard a lesson on it?), but we do no favors to ourselves or others when we avoid the difficult scriptures.

I hope BIBLE TIME FUN WEEKLY issue 106 is a blessing to you and those you share it with.
