I had a lot of fun drawing this picture.  I had to trace the parts of it over several times and then trace it all together.  The animals were a real challenge but they turned out ok. I like the story that this picture tells about taking everything you might need to have fun on vacation. 

The animal friends are going to spend a day at the beach. It looks like they brought along enough stuff to do.

There are a lot of little things the kids can color in this picture.

Animal Friends Go On A Hike Print And Color Page

There are a lot of ways you can color this one. The trees, grasses, bushes can have all kinds of greens like blue-green, yellow-green, gray-green. Try a little purple to make shadows. The pathway can be red or gray, or brown. The animals can be wearing brown or green scout clothing. A blue sky would be perfect, but some clouds can add interest. I drew this in landscape format but have posted it portrait to print it to fill a standard page.

Free dog and cat are friends print and color page.

Parents and teachers may use this free printable coloring page to teach a positive message about sharing and becoming friends with others who may be different.

Dog and Cat are fishing at the mountain lake and Cat shares an extra sandwich with Dog. Some students find an activity such as coloring a picture reinforces a lesson. This can be given as an extra classroom assignment to fill extra time or as a take-home project.

There are many opportunities for creative coloring.

The water should be dark in the foreground but lighter far away. The dock can be grey or brown or red or any combination. The sky can be blue, a creative person might add some clouds or the sun in the sky. The hills across the lake can be many greens. The mountains in the distance can be blue, lavender, grey or brown. There can be shadows in the trees and the mountains.

This is a free printable picture the kids can color, it is Surfer Cat.  It is a fun picture for the kids to color and can be used in class or at home, or to take on vacation to the beach and color.

He is a teenage cat on vacation at the beach. He is not afraid to get wet and wants to win a trophy in surfing.

I suggest the sky to be a light blue and the water a contrasting blue, maybe with a little green in the far-away sea and a dark blue in the wave.

The surfboard can be any color or just leave it white, it would be very outstanding if you leave it white and the sea dark blue.

The cat can be gray or brown or black or orange like a tabby, orange will really stand out against the blue. If you want a black cat I suggest you try gray for most of it then you can use a real black for the shadows.

There is an island in the distance and you can put brown and green in the island.

The clouds can be just white or add a very slight yellow, orange, gold for the light areas and maybe a touch of lavender or purple for the shadow areas, but use very little and keep it very light.
