THE VERSE

I have done most of the "I am" verses as coloring pages, and they make a nice week-long series for home Bible time or Bible club. This Bible verse is from the Gospel of John and quotes Jesus where he said, "I am the true vine, and my father is the gardener." John 15:1.

There are many ways young artists can express themselves with this picture. The bubble letters are open enough to color in, and kids like to fill each letter differently. The cross can be brown-gray or red. The leaves can be many green colors. The grapes can be red, purple, or green.

The Bible verse is from John 11:25: "Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life, those who believe in me will live, even though they die" I had to abbreviate it for the artwork but I felt the important part was to get the message that Jesus is the resurrection and the life.

For commentaries on this verse see Bible hub.

I spend hours creating coloring pages like this, I do it because I love God's Word, and I hope they are a blessing to you.

There are lots of areas in which a young artist may be creative with this picture. The letters are big enough to color in. Some kids really get into this and color every letter differently. The sky can be blue, and a young artist may want to draw clouds in the sky. The mountain and foreground can be browns, reds, or greens.
