Words of Christ from The Cross, Easter Coloring Page with Matthew 27:46

I am delighted to share with you this Easter Coloring page with the words of Christ from the cross from Matthew 27:46.

This printable coloring page is perfect for children and adults who want a creative way to contemplate your faith during Good Friday, Lent, and Easter. Still, this coloring page can be used on occasions besides the Easter season.

It helps to memorize the scripture when you color in words to the verse. There is a lot to color as you meditate on God's word.

John 10:11 says,

"And about the ninth hour, Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” that is, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?."  Matthew 27:46.

There are a lot of ways that you can color this. The letters are big enough to fill in. There are flowers around the border. There are frame bars that can be colored in. Do not forget to color the background but not too dark.

Kids like to color with crayons, but if you try colored pencils, you will be able to get into the smaller areas. My favorite coloring pencils are Prismacolor. Prismacolor pencils can be found at Staples, Michaels, or Hobby Lobby. (I always look for coupons online.)

Free Easter Print and Color Page, Luke 23:34, Words of Christ on the Cross

I am delighted to share my free Easter printable coloring page with Luke 23:34, "Father forgive them," scripture.

This printable coloring page is one of Christ's words from the cross. It is a favorite verse that gives us a moment to reflect on the sacrifice of Christ on Good Friday. It is a fantastic example of forgiveness. You can say his last thoughts were about us. Remarkably, his words are essentially a prayer.

A LITTLE ABOUT PRINTING
Sometimes people have trouble making the image print correctly. If you have problems printing, CLICK HERE to visit the how-to-print page or try the updated link, which should print better.

THE ART
I worked for hours trying to draw the silhouettes of the figures on the crosses. I wanted to show Christ on the cross but not make it too emotional for young people. At the same time, I wanted to show the hope of Christ's sacrifice, so I used the landscape and the sun's rays.

It is an excellent way to memorize the scripture by coloring in the letters to the verse, and when it is done, this is a beautiful reminder of Jesus' teaching.

COLORING THE PICTURE
You might find that colored pencils or markers work best. There are many ways to color this. The letters to the Bible verse are big enough to fill in. Between the two thieves, there is a landscape with Christ on the cross.
