Printable Color and Fold Encouragement Card, Bible Verse Zephaniah 3:17

This is a cute little printable greeting card with the Zephaniah 3:17 Bible verse.

You print it, then color it by hand, fold it, write something inside, and it is ready to give.

It will fit in the standard invitation envelope available at any office supply store. Print on cardstock, like a 60 lb or 80 lb paper, so it is heavy and firm. After it is printed, cut it in half at 5.5 inches (assuming US paper measurements of 8.5 x 11 inches) and then fold it in half down the middle. Color with Sharpies or pencils.

ABOUT MY ART

Coloring the letters in the words helps you remember the verse. When it is done, the page reminds us of God's Word.

I worked on this picture for about three hours. It took a lot of tracing things over to get it right. I had to print the words out, then trace them on another page, tracing to the border and artwork, and scan it back into the computer, where I cleaned everything up and put it in straight lines. I hope you like it as much as I do.

COLOR THE PICTURE

There are a lot of ways this can be colored. If you print it on cardstock, it can accommodate wetter mediums, such as watercolor or markers. 

I like to color the background a soft blue and the lettering a dark, dramatic color, such as blue, brown, lavender, or purple. 

The border frames can be a completely different color for contrast.

Kids like to color with crayons, but using colored pencils allows you to get into smaller areas. My favorite coloring pencils are Prismacolor, which can be found at Staples, Michaels, or Hobby Lobby. (I always look for coupons online.)

This picture took me hours to design and draw. I tried to do several creative things with it. I hope you are happy with it. 

There are a lot of ways you can be creative with this picture. The sky scene at the top border can have sunset colors in the clouds. The flowers can be all kinds of colors. Some vines can be green. You might consider coloring the background a light peach or pink behind the flowers and vines. The letters are small, but they can still be colored in. I like to color the background behind the letters a tan or sandy color.

It helps you memorize the scripture when you color the letters, and when it is done, this is a beautiful reminder of the Bible's teaching.
