If you have problems making it print then CLICK HERE to visit my how-to-print page for helpful tips, or try one of the updated links below.

This is a coloring page I designed for my Awana Club at Church. According to the scriptures, it illustrates 1 Corinthians 15:3, which says, "Christ died for our sins." The Cross coming out of the opened Bible illustrates that the Bible foretold the death and resurrection of the Lord for our sins long before it came about.

Some kids find memorizing the scripture is easier with a related activity such as coloring in the letters of the Bible verse. You can print a copy and take it to church for the kids to color when they are bored.

If you would like to study this verse and read different commentaries by famous Christian writers, you might like the hub of commentaries at Bible Hub. CLICK HERE to visit this resource.

Many kids color each letter differently.
The tare can be any color.
The background for the letters looked best pale, like a cream or light yellow.
I hope you have a great time with it.

I had a lot of fun drawing this picture.  I had to trace the parts of it over several times and then trace it all together.  The animals were a real challenge but they turned out ok. I like the story that this picture tells about taking everything you might need to have fun on vacation.

The animal friends are going to spend a day at the beach. It looks like they brought along enough stuff to do.

There are a lot of little things the kids can color in this picture.

Have fun coloring this page.

THE VERSE
This is a verse from our Awana Bible club, and I drew this picture to keep the kids at our club occupied while the other kids were reciting their verses. It is a clear and straightforward statement that explains a crucial aspect of the Gospel. Jesus died for our sins, and his death was foretold in the Bible. It was part of God's plan and was not an afterthought or mistake.

ABOUT THE ART
It may look simple, but I used a lightbox and a fine-tipped marker to trace the design and the words repeatedly before I got it right. I wanted to combine the two statements into one image: the cross and the Bible.

COLOR THIS PICTURE

There are many little things for the kids to color in this picture. If you use fine-tipped markers or colored pencils, such as my favorite, Prismacolor, you can get into the smaller areas.
  • The Bible can be red, blue, or brown.
  • The cross can be brown, gray, or red.
  • The flashing rays can be yellow, orange, or red.
  • The little ribbon in the Bible can be red or blue.
  • The letters can be any color; some kids color each word or each letter differently.

Blessings, and Thank You.
