I drew the letters by tracing over some graph paper. The crown was drawn freehand and then traced over a couple of times. I use a light box for tracing.

The letters are big enough for little ones to color. The crown offers numerous opportunities to be creative and colorful.

Kids like to color with crayons, but if you try colored pencils, you will be able to get into the smaller areas. My favorite coloring pencils are Prismacolor. Prismacolor pencils can be found at Staples, Michaels, or Hobby Lobby. (I always look for coupons online.)

The cells are to be cut apart and glued or stapled into a little booklet or kept single page.

The illustration used basic colors to explain the Gospel.

BLACK.
Illustrates sin. The first cell is just the word sin. It can be colored black.

RED
Illustrates the Blood of Jesus that pays for our sin; the second cell is the cross it can be colored red.

WHITE
Illustrates the cleansing and purity that Salvation brings. Color the area around the snowflake, so the snowflake is white.

GREEN
It illustrates growing in the new life. The fourth cell is the garden; color the flowers and grass green.

GOLD
It is to illustrate heaven and our eternal home. The cell is a picture of heaven (Don't worry, heaven is better than my picture). Color it yellow or gold.

YOU
Make it personal, here the person draws their own face. The point is to ask, "Have you trusted in the blood of Jesus to cleanse you of your sins and give eternal life?"

People use different scriptures for the ABC Gospel outline, but our lesson for the class this was designed for was focused on these references.

For letter A
admit that you have sinned is, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23.

For the letter B,
Believe God's promise is,  "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."  John 3:16.

For the letter C,
Confess that you accept the gift of salvation is, "If you confess with your mouth "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved, For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified and it is with your mouth that confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10.

There are a lot of ways children can color this picture. The letters are big and open, and around the letters are smiley face flowers that can be colored in cheerful hues.

Blessed Are They That Mourn, Free Coloring Page Matthew 5:4

Free Matthew 5:4 Sermon on The Mount print and color page.

This printable coloring page is from the first part of the sermon on the mount, often referred to as the beatitudes. I often thought that it is wonderful that the highlight of his teaching is not a bunch of rules like the Ten Commandments but a bunch of blessings.

It is a great kids' craft or coloring page for adults to enjoy too. I started to create coloring printables when I was a helper in the Awana Club in our church.  Coloring in the letters helps to learn and memorize the scripture. You are welcome to use it in your Children's church, Bible class, VBS, Sunday school, or any children's outreach.

 Matthew 5:4,

"Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted." Matthew 5:4.

I used graph paper and drew the letters on it, then traced the letters onto the picture. I tried several times to get the angels and grieving figures to look right. It took many attempts and tracing it over, but I feel it turned out the way I wanted it to look. I hope you like it.

If you have trouble printing this, visit the HOW TO PRINT tab. There are links below that may print.

COLOR THE PICTURE

The illustration has a large Bible on the horizon, and the words in large bubble letters can be colored in; below the words is the scene of the cross on the hill, and the verse is written below. Children like to color pictures with crayons, but use fine-tipped markers or colored pencils, such as my favorite, Prismacolor, to get into the smaller areas. You can find Prismacolor pencils at Michaels or Hobby Lobby. (I always look for coupons online.) The letters are big enough to color in.

Blessings, and thank you.

COLOR THE PICTURE

The bubble letters are open to allow little fingers to color inside. There is a boy and a girl in a pose that expresses the poor in spirit surrounded by the rays of heavenly light.

Kids like to color this picture with crayons, but if you try colored pencils, you will be able to get into the smaller areas. My favorite coloring pencils are Prismacolor. Prismacolor pencils can be found at Staples, Michaels, or Hobby Lobby. (I always look for coupons online.)

Blessings, And Thank You.
