MY ART ON THIS

It takes me hours to draw these coloring pages, but I do it because I love God's Word. I hope they are a blessing to you. You are welcome to print as many of my coloring pages as possible.

The picture is decorated with ribbons, doves, and a heart. Kids love to color the letters, each a different color. Coloring the letters and decorating the page is an excellent way to memorize the scripture.

It is a craft, but coloring in the letters to the words of the verse helps you memorize the scripture.

Printable Viking and Sea Serpent Coloring Page

This printable coloring page is a lot of fun for kids and adults to color in. There is a Viking defending his ship from a sea serpent that has wrapped itself around the ship.

Parents and teachers will be able to use this at home and in the classroom. It could be part of a lesson about history or myths such as Beowulf.

It can be used as a vacation time activity for in the car or on a plane ride. Or have around for any time they need something to do.

There are lots of ways that a person could color this in. There is a sea of foaming water. The background has fjords and pine trees. The sea serpent could be any combination of colors. The Viking is as authentic as possible.

HOW TO PRINT

  • With some printers, you can just highlight it and send it to your printer.
  • Some printers work better if you copy and paste the image into a Word Document then print as you would normally.
  • Some printers work better if you first drag the image to your desktop and print from there.

A LITTLE ABOUT MY ART
It can take me hours to draw these coloring pages, but I am glad to do it because I love God's Blessed Word and hope they are a blessing to you.

The drawing is in the style of an illuminated text from the Dark Ages. Dogwood blossoms are on the left border, crosses are on the bottom, and floral embellishments are in the upper right corner. It can be colored in any medium; if it is printed on card stock, then watercolor might work. Some have printed and traced these coloring pages onto watercolor paper and made beautiful paintings.

COLOR THE PICTURE
  • The letters can be colored in any color or combination.
  • The dogwood blossoms can look white if the background is colored blue.
  • The flowers are a version of the "English Rose" and traditionally are red.
  • The mountains behind the crosses can be light lavenders and violets.
  • The embellishments on the upper right can be any color.
  • The sky behind the crosses can have rays of light or clouds.

Blessings, and Thank You.

ABOUT MY ART
Parents and teachers will find many ways to use this printable coloring page. It can be part of a lesson or given as a take-home for a lesson review. It can be an extra activity to help fill in the teaching time.

I drew this for my church since we are focusing on memorizing a verse of Scripture every week.  I drew this freehand without a ruler or guide. I traced it over a page of graph paper and finished with a little tweaking on the computer. It took three to design and complete.

It is not just for kids. The fancy scrollwork with oak leaves and decorations is similar to medieval history's ancient illuminated text. The blank spaces are perfect for creativity where one can add vines, patterns, or shapes.
There are a lot of opportunities for creativity. Children like to color in the letters each a different color. There is a border that can be colored in and there are embellishments that can be dull greens or blues. The letters can be blue or brown.

Blessings, and Thank You,

COLOR THE PICTURE
It takes me hours to draw these coloring pages, but I draw them because I love God's Word and hope they are a blessing to you.

The letters are open bubble style, and there is room for little fingers to fill them in with crayons or markers. At the top of the picture is an image of a loaf of bread on a platter and a butter knife next to it, and at the bottom is a picture of a Bible, so there are lots of opportunities for creativity.

Coloring the letters in the verse helps you remember the verse. Put it up somewhere to remind you of God's Word. It is a great kids' craft or coloring page for adults to enjoy, too.

Blessings and Thank You.

Printable Knight and Princess, Coloring Page.

This printable coloring page is a fun project and works well with different mediums and approaches. Parents and teachers will be able to use this in class and at home.

It can be used as a vacation time activity for in the car or on a plane ride. Or have around for any time they need something to do.

This started as a lesson on how to draw a knight. There are a lot of pictures of knights standing and fighting but this is different. since the knight is kneeling in devotion. The lesson had only a knight and the student needed to give it background and a story. This became the illustration of that lesson where I created an environment and story subject for the kneeling knight.

There are a lot of ways an artist can be creative with this since there are a lot of spaces to color. Fine-tipped markers or pencils will work fine. If you trace it onto watercolor paper it can be a nice project for paint medium.

I hope you have as much fun coloring this as I had in drawing it.

Printable Philippians 4:6-7 Illuminated Text Style Coloring Page

This is a free Philippians 4:6-7 Bible verse to print and color.

This printable Bible Verse coloring page is drawn in the fashion of an ancient illuminated text.  So there is a lot of fancy stuff to color. It may not be suitable for little ones, but older kids and adults will enjoy coloring it. If it is printed onto card stock, then the heavy paper will endure a variety of mediums like markers and even light watercolor.

The scripture verse is a favorite of many, many people and one that is memorized by children and adults.

 Philippians 4:6-7 says,

"Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your request be made known unto God, and the Peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Chirst Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7.  It is slightly paraphrased but a compilation of several translations so it would fit the page and still be readable.

MY ART

I spent days creating and drawing this picture. I used an artist's light box to trace parts of it until I was happy with it. I traced around letters to make them open enough for you to color in. The picture illustrates a woman praying, vines, and oak leaves. A dove is carrying a heart with a cross in the center and breaking a chain (I hope the symbolism is not too vague; I hoped to illustrate the peace of God giving us freedom).
It was a lot of work, and I hope you like it.

COLOR THE PICTURE

There are a lot of ways to color this and a lot of opportunities for creativity. The letters are best if dark. Try using red in places. Try coloring the background and filling in the frames. Search the internet for images of illuminated text for ideas.

If you take your time, you will want to mount and frame it so it can be admired by all and a reminder of the truth of God's Word. It can be done as a children's church activity, VBS, homeschool, family devotions, or as a quiet activity during church.

Kids like to color this picture with crayons, but if you try fine-tipped markers or colored pencils, you will be able to get into the smaller areas. My favorite coloring pencils are Prismacolor. Prismacolor pencils can be found at Staples, Michaels, or Hobby Lobby. (I always look for coupons online.)

I traced this onto watercolor paper and did my own coloring of it to see the finished colorized picture click here.

Printable Monster Truck Coloring Page

This printable coloring page is perfect for the kid who loves big trucks.

It can be used at school as a free time activity or reward for performance. It can be used at an after school club or at a kid's party. Parents and teachers will find many opportunities to use this coloring page.

It can be used as a vacation time activity for in the car or on a plane ride. Or have around for any time they need something to do.

I originally drew this as part of an art lesson last year, it was an illustration on a how-to print worksheet. I was looking at it again and thought some kids would just like to color this picture, so here it is with a little modification. It is hand-drawn.

The picture shows a monster truck crushing nine cars.

There are a lot of ways a young artist can color this picture.
