ABOUT THIS HARVEST SPECIAL ISSUE

This Harvest Special Issue is the full subscriber's version since it is a unique outreach issue.

I brought together some of my best activities and coloring pictures of the past two years and mixed in some new puzzles. There are four Bible verse pictures to color, a break the code puzzle, a word search, two scrambler puzzles, a dot to dot and two find the differences pictures, and more. All the activities and puzzles are scripture-focused. There is an even distribution of Harvest-themed and Gospel-themed verses.

OF SPECIAL NOTE: There is a space that is left blank on the back fold with the words, "From your Friends at:" so that your community can put a stamp or label with your contact information, location, meeting times, etc.

The design of this issue is for it to be a tool to use to share the Gospel. One activity presents the Gospel using five scriptures, John 10:10. Romans 6:23, 1 Corinthians 13:3-4, Acts 16:31, and Romans 10:9-10.
There is a Mini-Bible study using John 3:16 as the text.
There are several I am statements, I am the bread of life, John 6:35, and I am the light of the world, John 8:12. I believe that if we lift Jesus up, he will draw people to himself.

Like the regular issues, there are discussion questions formatted as "Think about it" Since this is an outreach tool. I hope it is taken and done at home. I hope your kids will be brought nearer to the Savior through God's Word.

I hope this issue is a blessing to you. Remember to come back next week for the next exciting and fun issue of BIBLE TIME FUN WEEKLY.

ABOUT ISSUE 175

It has three coloring pictures, a word search for older children, and one for younger children. A crossword puzzle, code breaking puzzle like a cryptogram, (in the subscriber's version) a scrambler puzzle, a maze, a read the bible bookmark craft, a memory verse craft, and so much more!

It is almost impossible to say my favorite activity in this issue. I like the find the difference activity with the two drawings of one of Gideon’s soldiers holding a torch and blowing a trumpet. (In the subscriber's version) But I am pleased with how happy the Psalm 118:24 coloring picture looks.
The most work went into the find the hidden letter puzzle.

As always, there are plenty of discussion questions, so you can transition from a fun activity to a spiritual discussion without forcing the topic or having to come up with something to say.

I hope this issue is a blessing to you. Remember to come back next week for the next exciting and fun issue of BIBLE TIME FUN WEEKLY.

ABOUT ISSUE 173

One of the coloring pages is inspired by Psalm 91:1, "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty." It is a favorite scripture for many.

I drew two pictures of baby Moses in the basket to find the differences activity. They are accompanied by two scriptures, Exodus 12:1-3 and Hebrews 11:23 passages. Putting them together illustrates the faith of Moses' parents.

There are a few verses we do not always have the opportunity to think about. One is the shape sort puzzle (in the subscriber's version) inspired by Psalms 147:10-11, which tells us who God delights in. The crossword puzzle uses John 10:28-29, which teaches us that no one can snatch us out of his hand. The find the hidden letter activity uses Proverbs 15:1, A gentle answer turns away wrath. Another verse we don't always get to talk to kids about is used in the grid puzzle; it is 2 Corinthians 3:16-18, about how the veil which keeps us from understanding God is taken away when we believe.

I was delighted with the dot-to-dot I created for the Abraham believed The Lord verse.

There are three coloring pictures (in the subscriber's version and two in the free version), two different word searches, a maze, a memory verse activity, and more.

The code breaker (In the subscriber's version) has plenty of clues to help you figure it out.

I am always excited to think about how God uses the "Let's talk about it" discussion questions to help people have Gospel talks. Especially in this issue which has activities inspired by Isaiah 1:8, a scripture about our sins. And Ephesians 2:8-9 is one of the coloring pages. The Explorer's challenge uses Acts 2:38 the turn to God and repent.

ABOUT ISSUE 172

I am excited to share issue 172 of BIBLE TIME FUN WEEKLY. I know you will enjoy it and find many ways to use it. It is full of fun things to color and puzzles to solve.

In this issue are the usual three coloring pictures; two are for older children and adults. They are, for older children, Luke 6:46, "Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?" And for younger children, two coloring pictures. Psalm 119:18, "Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from your law."  and 1 John 4:19, "We love him because he first loved us."

The find the difference activity turned out very nice. It illustrates a part of the David and Goliath story that we often overlook since we focus on the victory of little David against the giant Goliath. The text is David's declaration that he fought in the "Name of the Lord."

The Dot-to-dot activity is an illustration from the Epistle of James, where he talks about the tongue being like the rudder of a great ship. I had to draw it several times to get the design right.

The word search for younger children is from Numbers 23:19, and the one for older children or adults uses Psalm 139:1-3. I spent all week on these and had to redo them multiple times to keep unwanted combinations of letters from showing up.

The Explorer's Challenge, a mini Bible study, uses the long passage of Philippians 2:5-8. The activity simply underlined some words and circled others, then drew arrows pointing to the most important part of the passage. I hope this activity will help our children to think about God's word in a meaningful way.

I wish I had more time to work on the break-the-code puzzle. So I kept it short and gave extra clues.

Other activities include a maze activity, a fill-in-the-grid puzzle, a break-the-code, and more.

One of the foundational purposes of this mini-magazine is to give you a way to discuss the things of God. That is why there are open-ended discussion questions after most of the activities.

ABOUT MY ART
I drew this as a feature in the children's activity magazine. It looked like it would make a perfect stand-alone coloring page, so I made some changes for the larger areas. It was a drawing that took a lot of tracing to make right.

FOR MORE COLORING PAGES
I have drawn many Bible verse coloring pages. To quickly scroll through a list of hundreds of my coloring pages, CLICK HERE.

There are a lot of ways this can be colored.

  • I like to color the background pale, like parchment, so a soft tan or light beige.
  • I avoid black for the lettering and often use blue, or brown, purple, or something interesting.
  • The flowers can be a lot of different colors.
  • The border frames can be a completely different color that contrasts.

ABOUT MY ART
I spend a lot of time creating these coloring pages, and I am glad to do it because I believe in God's word and its power to change lives. I pray they are a blessing to you. I hope you enjoy these pictures and that they are helpful to you.

Both kids and adults enjoy coloring the verse. Coloring the letters of the words helps you remember them. When it is done, the page is a reminder of God's Word. It is a great kids' craft or coloring page for adults to enjoy, too.

The design is simple because there are so many words that I felt if there were a lot of embellishments around the border, it would be too tedious.

There are a lot of ways this can be colored.

  • I like to color the background pale, like parchment, so a soft tan or light beige.
  • I avoid black for the lettering and often use blue, or brown, purple, or something interesting.
  • The flowers can be a lot of different colors.
  • The vines can be of different values and hues of green. I enjoy contrasting greens with reds.
  • The border frames can be a completely different color that contrasts.

Blessings, and thank you.

ABOUT ISSUE 171

I am excited to share issue 171 of BIBLE TIME FUN WEEKLY. I know you will enjoy it and find many ways to use it.

In this issue are the usual three coloring pictures; two are for older children and adults. They are Mark 9:35, "If anyone wants to be first he shall be last of all…." And Matthew 20:28, the Son of Man came not to be served, in the subscriber's version. One coloring page is ideal for the younger children; it is taken from John 12:46, the "I am the light of the world" verse.

For the subscriber's version, I drew two pictures of Moses with his hands held up in prayer during the battle with the Amalekites. Exodus 17:10-13. I am pleased with the pictures. And I am sure it will be fun for you to find the six differences between the two pictures. I feel bad that there was not enough space to quote the entire three verses in the passage, and I had to chop it up a little. There is a footnote to encourage you to read the whole section.

The dot-to-dot activity is a tracer where you trace the dots to form the outlines of the letters to the scripture 1 John 4:8, the "Whoever does not love does not know God…" scripture.

There is a crossword for Philippians 3:8. There is a Luke 16:13 scrambler verse activity and Mark 2:27 explorer's challenge (Mini-bible study) activity.  Other activities include a maze activity, word search, a fill-in-the-grid puzzle, and more.

Most of the activities have open-ended discussion questions. I am hopeful that they will lead to life-changing talks.

Free Printable Bible Activity Mini-Magazine for Children. Issue 170

I am excited to have finished 170 of BIBLE TIME FUN WEEKLY. I hope you like it.

Each week I create a printable Bible activity mini-magazine for the kids in church. It is full of puzzles,  activities, and pictures to color using Bible verses. I am praying you can use this in your Bible classes, ESL classes, VBS, Bible Club, Upwords ministry, and more.

ABOUT ISSUE 170

In this issue, there is something for everyone.

This issue has some of the most famous scriptures we use as we share the invitation to come to Jesus. Revelation 3:20 is used for the scrambler, and Matthew 11:28-29 is for the grid puzzle.

Discipleship verses are used for the maze puzzle with Joshua 24:15, the washing of the disciple's feet John 13:12-17, which inspired the dot-to-dot activity, and Romans 12:1 is used for the explorer’s challenge mini bible study activity. There are scriptures on faith and devotion and several about the word of God.

One of the coloring pictures is very much for younger children, and John 15:16 is one I think the moms will like to do.

I was surprised that the find the differences in the pictures activity turned out so well. It is the brass snake on the pole from Exodus. It is such a simple picture that I was afraid that I would only be able to design one or two differences between the two snake pictures, but I was able to squeeze out five. I hope you can find the five differences.

The dot-to-dot was a challenge to create. I start by drawing the picture and then taking out the lines connected by the dots. But the drawing had two complicated elements, a hand, and a foot. It took a lot of tracing to get things to look right and a lot of computer drawing to finish.

Every week I create a new code for the code breaker. This week I used the top row on the keyboard to invent the code. It looks complicated, but I gave a good set of clues so anyone can solve it.

As always, most of the activities have open-ended discussion questions. I pray they are used as the springboard that launches life-changing talks.

ABOUT ISSUE 168

In this issue, there is something for everyone.

In this issue are some scriptures that point us to Christ. Two verses reference the famous "I am" Statements of our Lord. Other verses call us to holy living, and a few are about discipleship.

Some of the coloring pictures are perfect for those who like tight spaces, and others have open areas for younger fingers to fill in.

This week's dot-to-dot activity is elementary; it is more of tracing the dots to form the letters in the Bible verse.

The explorer's challenge is a mini-bible study. Even though it only tasks you to draw a box around specific words, circle others, and draw stars over another, it took a surprising amount of thought since I want to create a fun way to meditate on God's word.

Every week I create a new code for the code breaker (found in the subscriber's version). This week I used a different mix of icons. The five clues are more than enough for anyone to crack the code. The verse is unfamiliar to most of us, so you can't just rely on your scripture memory work.

Some word puzzles are designed around solving the missing word that finishes a sentence. It takes a lot of thought to look at a verse, develop a sentence that relates to it, and back engineer the puzzle to accomplish that task. At the same time, I want to be mindful that the sentence is correct with a fundamental understanding of the meaning of that scripture and basic Christian doctrine. My challenge was with the 1 Timothy 6:17-19 shape sort puzzle (in the subscriber's version) and the Psalm 102:25-27 grid puzzle. But they turned out very nice.

The memory verse continues the series for John 1.

Most of the activities have open-ended discussion questions. I spend a lot of time on these and sometimes rewrite them several times. I hope they give you fresh topics to talk to your kids about when you have class or family time.

Free Psalm 145:9 Print And Color Page. "The Lord is Good To All..." Bible verse

This is a free printable coloring page for Psalm 145:9.

This is a lovely verse of scripture and a simple statement of worship.

I did the original drawing for a Children's church printable mini-magazine that I make every week. It turned out so lovely and simple that I thought it would be something a more extensive audience would appreciate, so I re-formatted the drawing for the coloring page. I hope you like it.

Psalm 145:9 says,
The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. Psalm 145:9 KJV.

COLOR THE PICTURE

This picture can be beautiful when you color it. Use fine-tipped markers or colored pencils to get into the more delicate areas. My favorite coloring pencils are Prismacolor pencils because they are brilliant and blend well. You can find them at Michaels or Hobby Lobby stores. You can usually find coupons for good discounts.

I hope you make a masterpiece!
