I would begin teaching my children's Awana Bible club by having all the kids quote this verse. When they did, they would be more attentive and receptive. 

The verse is from 1 Samuel 3:9, which says, "So Eli told Samuel to go and lie down, and if he calls you to say, ' Speak Lord your servant is listening.' so Samuel went and lay down in his place." the coloring page is only part of the verse.

ABOUT MY ART

I wanted to play with the lettering calligraphy, so I added a few touches of flourish. It may challenge some kids with fine finger dexterity issues, but for the most part, the letters are open enough to color in.

COLOR THE PICTURE

Kids like to color with crayons, but if you try colored pencils, you will get into the smaller areas. My favorite coloring pencils are Prismacolor. Prismacolor pencils can be found at Staples, Michaels, or Hobby Lobby. (I always look for coupons online.)

I draw these coloring pages because I love God's Word, and I hope they are a blessing to you. 

I had to trace the letters about 4 times before I was happy with how they looked. The clouds were easy, but I still had to trace them twice. I could have done something with hearts, but I thought that was being done a lot by others, and so I wanted this coloring page to be special for the kids. If your kids like stickers, use star stickers from the office supply store and let the kids stick shiny stars on the star shapes in the drawing.  

There are many things a young artist can do to have fun with this picture. 

The lettering is large to give ample room to fill in. 

The stars and clouds can be warm hues, and the background blues, lavenders, and violets. 

There is a sun and the sunbeams that can be yellow, orange, and red. 

For extra fun, use sticky shiny stars on the stars.

It teaches us that he is not just the God who is there somewhere but right here.

ABOUT MY ART

I drew this Bible verse coloring page for my Awana Club at church. It is a great Bible verse craft, too.

I had a lot of trouble drawing this, but it turned out very nicely. I had to trace the words but changed the letters a little to give you room to color. 

The letters are large enough for the kids to color. The background is a representation of a brick or stone-like wall, which is in part of the story of Joshua and the walls of Jericho.

One could color the stone and leave the letters white or use a different color for each stone in the wall. The young artist will get really involved in this one.
Parents and teachers will be able to use this in many ways.

ABOUT THE PICTURE.

This is the New Testament coloring page I used as part of a lesson at the Awana Kids Club at my church. Parents, teachers, and homeschool families will find this helpful. Some kids have problems memorizing the New Testament books, but if they are tactile learners, this helps a lot. The page can be colored in class in Children's church or given out as a take-and-color at-home project.

The letters of the books can be colored. They are a little tight because it was the only way I could get them drawn in nicely, but the kids can benefit from acceptable finger activity. The embellishments of a book and the decorations at the bottom can be colored if the kids feel frustrated with the small lettering.

I would like to draw these Bible verse printables because I love God's word, and I hope that you are blessed by them. 

The letters of the verse can be colored in; they are drawn small and tight. This was not on purpose; it was just hard to work out. This is the perfect practice for fine finger dexterity.

The scene provides many opportunities for creativity. The sky can be blue, but I suggest the kids add clouds to it.

The foreground can be bright green for the grass.

The treeline can be darker greens.

The mountains can be purple or violet, grey and brown, which will contrast against the greens of the trees and break up the sky's cool and the trees' cool.

I tried a few experiments with the lettering on this one. I started with printing the letters out on paper and tracing them, and then I drew the scroll paper around them. 

I drew the words so the kids could color them in, and the scroll was to tie the picture into the lesson.
The kids like to color every letter differently, and the scroll can be a background or a border.

I drew this for my Awana Club at church, but it will be an asset to any Bible class, VBS, Vacation Bible School, Backyard Bible Club, or our Children's Church program. It may be used as a take-home after Sunday School to reinforce a lesson or to give the students a little craft time in class.

THIS IS MY ORIGINAL ART

I drew this picture by hand and used an artist's LightBox to trace parts of it a few times before it was right. I had to print the letters, then trace their edges to create areas for you to color. It took an afternoon. I wanted it to have lots of fun things for kids to color, so I added outlines of hearts and big flowers. I hope you enjoy it. 

COLOR THE PICTURE

This has something for everybody. The letters can be colored in, and the hearts and flowers are large enough to give everyone some space to color. It is a project that will be a nice am adult to do for fun.

If you use fine-tipped markers or colored pencils like my favorite, Prismacolor, you can get into the smaller areas. You can find Prismacolor pencils at Michaels or Hobby Lobby, and there are usually coupons available online. 

• The letters are big enough to color in. 
• Color the hearts pink and use lots of green around them to make them stand out. 
• The flowers look good in lavenders and blues, as well as yellows and oranges. 
• The cross on the bottom can be brown, and the cloth could be left white or blue. 
• The ground can have green and brown.

This free coloring page shows the shepherd holding a lamb as he descends a rocky path to the beautiful country below. The verse is drawn in bubble letters for coloring. The picture is of the Lord holding a lost sheep. It is one of my favorites.  I spent a lot of time looking over pictures of the Lord holding the lamb and did many sketches of it before this.

The verse is a wonderful scripture and a great foundational truth of the Christian life of love for God. Can we ever have too many reminders that God loves us? It is important for kids to know the unconditional love that God has for them, but it is also essential that adults remember this. It is an important truth that is part of teaching the Gospel.

This is a coloring picture I drew for the kids in the Awana Club at church.  It is a very simple one with a cross that has a heart in the center.   I like to trace and cut out red construction paper hearts so that they can glue them in the center of the picture.

TO COLOR
There is a cross with a huge heart in the center that the kids can color red or pink. 

The cross can be brown, and the rays of light can be any combination of colors. 

The words of the verse are at the bottom, and the kids can color them any way they want.
