Here is a coloring page of Galatians 2:20 in Mandarin Chinese.  You can color the characters and learn the verse.  I do not speak much Mandarin, so I simplified the Chinese New Version of the text and allowed the line breaks to follow the Western punctuation embedded in the text.

THE VERSE

Galatians 2:20 is a verse many of us want to memorize because it teaches us that when we become born again we are in Christ and he is in us and we live a new life through his presence in us.  

The Chinese text is,

我已经与基督同钉十字架；现在活着的，不再是我，而是基督活在我里面；如今在肉身中活着的我，是因信　神的儿子而活的；他爱我，为我舍己.

MY ART

This is a revised coloring page since I reused parts of the Galatians 2:20 that I did before in English. The first version took a long time to design and trace. I printed and traced the letters to the verse and drew the border art around them. I wanted it to look like an ancient illuminated manuscript so I put a lot of vines and flowers around the edges. Parts had to be traced over multiple times before I was happy with it. For this version, I copied the picture, used cut and past to take out the English words, and then created the characters on the computer and pasted them in. 

COLOR THE PICTURE.

This can be a beautiful picture if you use fine-tipped markers or colored pencils. There are lots of flowers and vines around the border to color with many different colors. The scene at the bottom can be like a desert, and the cross can be a bright contrast.  You can embellish the background sky with your own clouds and sunbeams.

Here is a free print and color page for Isaiah 53:6 with the words in Korean.  I have some friends who are Korean and I made this for them. I do not speak Korean so I used online resources to create the text for this coloring page for you. 

THE VERSE

Isaiah 53:6 is one of the most popular Bible verses. It tells us that we are all helpless because of our sins and we have wandered from God and our right place. It also says that the punishment we deserve has been given to another who we know is Christ. Isaiah 53:6 says, 우리는 다 양 같아서 그릇 행하며 각기 제 길로 갔거늘 여호와께서는 우리 무리의 죄악을 그에게 담당시키셨도다  이사야 53 : 6

THE ART

I used the sheep from another project I did a while ago. I added the background and the cross to give it interest and an environment. I used the computer to make the text. It took a long time to get it right so you will have areas to color. I do not speak Korean at all and had a difficult time trying to determine where to break up the lines without interrupting the rhythm of the thoughts.

COLOR THE PICTURE

If you use colored pencils or fine-tipped markers the picture can be very beautiful. The letters can be colored in but try to be creative and don't just use black. The scene can be colorful by using different greens for the grasses and different greys, blues, or browns in the rocks. The field behind the sheep can be yellow-gold like a wheat field. The distant hills can be different greens and the far mountains can be purple or violet. The cross can be grey, brown, or red. consider using lavender for the shadows.

CREATING ISSUE 106

In some ways, this issue had a slow start because it took days to select the scriptures for the activities. Normally I work from lists of popular and important verses and I try to be aware during my Bible reading for verses. This time, nothing seemed right. If a verse did seem right I was reluctant because it was used recently or the verse didn't meet the requirements of the puzzle. If a verse seems right then I look at all the translations for one that is clear and without hard words for the kids. I started with what I had and kept looking for more verses, It wasn't until the third day that the inventory of scriptures was complete.

I was surprised that God led me to the Revelation 22:16b scripture. It is a great and unappreciated "I am" statement of Jesus, “I am the root and the offspring of David, the Bright morning star.” It reads like an exclamation mark at the end of the Bible. Not many people would choose this as a children’s Bible verse (have you ever taught or heard a lesson on it?), but we do no favors to ourselves or others when we avoid the difficult scriptures.

THE ART

The background was from another illustration that I created a few years ago, but I had to change it to make it less dark, and it was too small. The text was created with the computer. It took a lot of trial and error to get it right, so you will have areas to color. I do not speak Japanese much and had difficulty determining where to break up the lines since the Japanese writing style does not put spaces between words.

This picture can look beautiful if you take your time and use fine-tipped markers or colored pencils. You can color the background art with many different colors or use a monochromatic theme. The letters to the text are opened up so you can color them in. Think about using something besides black to color the words. Consider red, or blue, or grey.

THE ART

I like how the picture turned out. The sheep is an illustration that I drew previously for another coloring picture. I recently used it with the landscape background in a church bulletin. The text was created with the computer.

COLOR THIS PICTURE

There are lots of ways you can color this picture. If you use fine-tipped markers or colored pencils, you will be able to get into the small areas of the lettering. You can color the sky blue and the distant mountains in purple or lavender. The field behind the sheep can be yellow like a ripe harvest.  There are areas for some green in the background and in the shrubs of the foreground. The cross can be red, grey, or brown. I hope you make a masterpiece!

Here is a picture of Isaiah 53:6 in Spanish.  I do not speak Spanish very well but it is such a beautiful language I wanted to do some coloring pages in it for my Spanish friends. 

THE VERSE

This is a verse that we like because it tells us about our lost souls in a gentle way and likens us to sheep wandering about which is a word picture of how we wander from God. It tells us that Christ took our sins upon himself. This is a simple picture and you can color it beautifully with pencils or markers. If you color all the areas around the sheep but leave him blank then she will look white. There are grass and shrubs that you can make different greens. The field behind the sheep can be yellow-green like a grain field.  The cross can be brown, red, or grey. Use violet or lavender for the shade on the side of the cross. The distant mountains can be purple and blue. When you color the words consider a creative color such as purple, blue, or brown.

There are a lot of things you can do to make this picture a beautiful piece of art.  If you use a set of fine-tipped markers or colored pencils then you can get into the letters. There are grass and shrubs to be different greens. There are rocks that can be different browns, reds, sandy colors, or grey. The letters can be colored in but because of the black lines try coloring the letters in something else like blue, grey, red, or violet.

This is one of those scriptures we all hear about. It is a beautiful word picture of our lostness and spiritual need. It tells us that God has provided an answer to our sins and that answer is the death of Christ on our behalf.

Here is a free print and color page for the Bible verse Psalm 100:1. It is in the Spanish language using the Reina-Valera 1995 translation. I do not speak Spanish very well but I wanted to do some coloring pages in Spanish because it is a beautiful and widely spoken language. I hope people will be able to use these language coloring pages in their homes and ministries.

This is a wonderful scripture that is uplifting and encouraging. It is simple and calls us to worship the Lord our God. It implies that the lord is worthy of worship by all the people of all the nations, tribes, and families.

I drew the background for another coloring picture and chose to reuse it because the verse was one that seemed to imply joy and happiness. I thought about it and felt the flowers were a good way of expressing the joy of worship. I had to make some changes to make it larger because the small flowers were too busy but the larger ones give opportunity for being creative in coloring. The letters are an attempt to be happy and joyful. I used a computer for the letters. 

COLOR THE PICTURE

If you use colored pencils or fine-tipped markers, the picture can be very beautiful. The flowers can be all the different colors you can think of. The letters can be colored in but be creative and try not to just use black. The frame can be a contrasting color, or maybe it is the place for black.

COLOR THE PICTURE

If you use fine-tipped markers or colored pencils, then this can be a beautiful picture. Get creative! The letters are opened up so you can color them in.  The drawing of the toolbox can be colored too. Tools are often dull grey, but you can add color in many places. Think about adding lavender or purple to the shadows. 

THE ART

It may take me hours to draw one of these coloring pages for you. I offer them for free, but please consider making a small donation through PayPal to help me continue to create these coloring pages for you.  

The picture of the toolbox seemed to be a simple way of illustrating this verse. I drew it before for the English version of the coloring page, several times, and traced it before scanning it into the computer. For the letters, I used the computer to create them with cut-and-paste from the Korean Bible. 

It was a lot of work, and I am happy with how it turned out. I hope you like it.

THE VERSE

THE ART.

It takes me hours to draw these coloring pages, but I am glad to draw them because I love God's Word, and I hope they are a blessing to you. 

I used a lightbox to trace the background design. I wanted it to be joyful and happy in a way anyone could appreciate, especially kids. At first, the image was a little too tight, so after I scanned it in, I cropped and enlarged it with the computer. The text was actually made with a computer.

COLOR THE PICTURE

There are many beautiful big flowers to color. You can make everyone different, pick a few colors, or even use one color and different hues. The letters are opened and can be colored in. It would be another opportunity for bright colors. 

There is a border frame that can be a contrasting color.

Here is a Romans 8:28 printable coloring page I created a few years ago but in this one, I changed the language of the text to Spanish using the Reina-Valera 1995 translation. I do not speak Spanish well and tried my best to make the line breaks in logical places. 

THE VERSE

This is one of those wonderful scriptures that we all memorize. It gives us hope that God is working in our hearts to make us more like Christ. 

Romanos 8:28 says,  Sabemos, además, que a los que aman a Dios, todas las cosas los ayudan a bien, esto es, a los que conforme a su propósito son llamados.

COLOR THE PICTURE

There are a lot of little things that you can do to make this a nice picture. The letters are opened up enough to color in, consider a bright color for the letters to contrast the dull greys of the tools. The toolbox can be red, brown, or any color. Tools are normally dull greys but you can still add color to the handles and different parts.

Free Print and Color Page of John 3:16 in Japanese Script

Here is a print and color page of John 3:16 in Japanese.

THE TEXT

I do not speak Japanese (I would love to learn to someday), so I used online resources to create this picture for you to color. The translation is the New Japanese Bible, and I think it is the most popular among followers of Christ.  I compared what other illustrators did with this verse and where they broke the lines, and I assumed they knew what they were doing, so I tried to follow their lead. I mostly broke the lines up by the translator's punctuation marks. 

The examples I saw had the text going vertically in some and horizontally in others. I tried to create a coloring picture with the text going vertically, but it was too time-consuming and didn't look good, so I opted for the modern vertical approach.  

John 3:16 says 神はそのひとり子を賜わったほどに、この世を愛して下さった。それは御子を信じる者がひとりも滅びないで、永遠の命を得るためである。

THE ART

I used the background in other language translations of this verse. I drew it in parts and did a lot of tracing. The border was done in part on the computer, and part was tracing. I used the computer to create the text.

COLOR THE PICTURE

If you use fine-tipped markers and colored pencils, you will be able to color the text. I prefer not to use black on the text; I like to use blue, brown, or a different color so the black outlines don't get lost. The border can be a lot of colors, and the frame bars can be a contrasting color.   The rays of sunlight can be yellow, or you can just leave them white and color everything else.

Psalm 42:1 is a beautiful, poetic scripture of devotion and longing for God. It uses a beautiful word picture of the thirsty deer who is desperate for water to illustrate the psalmist's thirst for God. It is a powerful example of the heart of devotion and should inspire us all.

I drew this over several days and had to trace it many times to get the background the way I wanted it to be. Then I had to scan it into the computer and make some adjustments. The text was done with the computer. I used to trace the letters, but it took forever. 

COLOR THE PICTURE

This can look beautiful.  Take your time. There are lots of things to color. 

• The sky can have blue near the top and be lighter by the horizon. 
• The cliff can be brown, grey, or sandy in color. 
• The rocks can be different browns and red browns. 
• Try to use some blue or lavender for the shadows. 
• The water can be a light blue.  
• The deer can be tan or brown. 
• The bushes and grasses can be different greens. 
• The distant mountains can be purple or lavender. 
• The distant hills can be a light green. 

I hope you make a beautiful masterpiece.

I used the background picture several times in this series because it was so much work that I wanted to maximize the opportunities to share it.  I had to trace it over several times and then make the last changes using the computer.  I used a website to find the verse in Korean, but since I do not speak Korean and am not a scholar, I used the google translate feature to make sense of the word patterns and break the lines where it was logical.

John 3:16 is the most famous scripture in most Christian communities. It covers the essential truths of the Gospel. It is a verse that reminds us of God's sacrificial love and how he sent his son to pay for our sins so we may have eternal life with him.

COLOR THE PICTURE

• The text is smaller than I would like for it to be, so if you use black color, the outlines will get lost, and it might not be legable. 
• I suggest coloring the letters something like blue, brown, lavender, or red, then the outline will still be distinctive. 
• I think colored pencils or fine-tipped markers would work best. 
• The background has a lot of possibilities for coloring. 
• The sun's rays can be orange, yellow, or just leave white. 
• The distant mountains can be purple and blue in the middle ground. 
• The foreground has rocks that can be brown, grey, red, or any earthly color. 
• There are the shapes of grasses and shrubs that can be green.

ABOUT ISSUE 104

I had to throw this one together on the fly since last week my son graduated from college with his master's in fine arts. So we spent a few days in Vermont where he was studying, and I was not able to work on it during that time. When we returned home I was scheduled for my second COVID shot and it wiped me out with a headache for two days.  But in spite of that, the Lord guided my efforts, and issue 104 is one that I am thankful for. It has 11 activities, including coloring pages, word searches, puzzles, crosswords, and more. Most of the activities have a footnote with a “Let’s talk about it.” question so families and teachers can springboard from the activities to a spiritual discussion.   

 

One of the puzzles, a numbered cipher code took me about 5 hours and many revisions before it worked out. 

 

I am very grateful to be able to create these for you and I hope you are able to find ways to use them to share the gospel.
